Santa Clothes Program Serves 115 Children in 2018!
The Rotary Clubs of Vancouver and Greater Clark County took 115 children shopping for winter clothes from J.C. Penney at Vancouver Mall on Dec. 4 as part of the clubs’ fifth annual Santa Clothes program. Kids picked out new clothes and shoes while staff members from the store provided special shopping assistance and discounts. The children, who came from programs at Boys and Girls Clubs of Southwest Washington, Salvation Army, Share and Bridge the Gap. The Santa Clothes program is funded by the two Rotary Clubs and Rotary District 5100 plus grants and discounts from J.C. Penney. Santa’s Clothes was introduced to the our Club by late member Bob McBrien, who formerly coordinated the program at the Rotary Club of Las Vegas.
