The Vancouver Rotary Foundation was established in 1972 by the Rotary Club of Vancouver. The Vancouver Rotary Foundation is operated exclusively for charitable, cultural, and educational purposes, with a primary focus on fostering, developing, promoting and encouraging the health, education and general welfare of the youth and residents in Southwest Washington. Since its inception, the Vancouver Rotary Foundation has awarded over $3.3 million in scholarships to individuals and grants to charitable organizations in the local community as well as world-wide. Past grant recipients include Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwest Washington, YWCA, Evergreen Habitat for Humanity, Free Clinic of Southwest Washington, American Red Cross, Boys and Girls Club of Southwest Washington, many, many schools and numerous organizations and projects which aid hunger relief, promote clean water in underdeveloped communities and provide medical care.
